The POF DIN-rail mounted media converter converters electrical data signals of a typical RJ45 connector into an optical signal, which can be transmitted over the polymer optical fibre (POF). So, it is easy to integrate all kinds of network devices in the POF network. The device is developed for mounting on the DIN-rail as a single module. For converting the signals an external power supply is necessary, which is not part of the delivery. Main features of the media converter are low power consumption, high data rate of up to 1 Gbps and a high compatibility to different network devices.

The gigabit DIN-rail mounted media converter is suitable for the integration of IP based Smart Home systems, sensors, actuators or other DIN-rail components with the need for a high information rate in POF home- and office networks.
